About us
Finkey Jewelry makes sure you get rinsed any time
The Product
The Silver surfer and his mates were designed true to the outlines and proportions of my favorite shortboard. It feels between your fingers just like the real thing does under your arm.
Easily folded from surfboard into key shape, the tool is ready for action when you are.
Especially on surf adventures, where finkeys are easily lost and hard to come by, the surfboard necklace will be a welcome companion.
Made to last, the pendant will become quickly an indispensable sentiment. One touch of the marine grade stainless steel will let you relive that one epic wave from your last vacation.
The Process
The complexity of the parts made only one manufacturing path possible. China, being the market leader in MIM production and relatively close to Western Australia, appeared most attractive.
An open and honest company was soon found. After a year and a half of discussing problems, improving structures and working towards a common goal, we finally reached a product which met our expectations. The excellent communication and professional approach of my Chinese colleagues made this process a pleasant experience.
After the parts are manufactured, they are sent to my address in Western Australia, where they are carefully inspected, assembled and sent out to customers all over the world.
Enjoy!
The Creator
If you have gotten this far, you might also be interested in meeting the creator of this kick-ass product...well allow me to introduce myself.
Hi, my name is Jens.
I was born in Bavaria but thanks to my parents I got to ride my first lump of whitewash at the young age of 11 years old. I have been chasing waves ever since.
Now, surfing or 'traveling to surf' is the only life I can imagine for myself. It makes me happy and keeps life interesting.
The idea of the finkey necklace came to me on a surftrip in South Africa. A local friend invited me on an amazing surftrip along the Wildcoast with the boys. We packed like 3 finkeys each, but after only a couple of days there were none left. We could only surf the boards we had already put fins on.
